Not bad, just different. Merc and Yam probably have 75-80% market share on bass boats and add Evinrude and you might be 98%+. That’s what the people want. Doesnt mean they are better, but it does mean if you want to sell something as complete package then build with popular options. Don’t put a package together that contradicts the majority. I’m in new residential business and my customers building spec homes know the game. Keep everything trendy and neutral. That 496 is equal to a purple spec house. It might look good, but 99% don’t want a purple house. You’d have to paint it a different color or lower price enough that a value buyer would get sucked in because your 20% cheaper than neighbors and that purple would start looking better.
