I turned the Rec Tec on and dialed it up to 500 to put a steak on. As usual I put a temperature probe in the thickest part and watched the internal temperature climb to 160. I like my steak cooked. I don't mind a little pink but it has to be minimal. Everything I've read says the steak should be well done at 155 but mine is still pretty pink inside at 155-160. I'm not turning it because of the internal probe. Any recommendations on cooking a decent steak. Mine turned out OK. It was tender and had juices running out everywhere. I put salt,pepper and a rub made for hamburgers. Let's hear some ways you guys are preparing steaks/beef.
