200 hp OX66----- Loss of power at W.O.T.

It idles rough and sometimes will shut off at idle if u don't give it a little throttle to keep it running.

It will also loose around 500 rpm at W.O.T. intermentently.
When it does it, if I stay in the throttle all the way the rpm will keep falling slowly.
But I can let out of it and stomp it real fast and it will pick up.
Sometimes it wont do it.
Seems like it does it when its warm.
But the other day it did it right out the gate.

Also.
I was having an issue with the engine dying for no reason at all rpm.
When It did i discovered the fuel pump wasn't coming on.

The main relay that feeds power to the fuel pump was bad.
$260 later the engine doesn't die but the loss of power issue is still happening.
I tried another pulser cole assembly.
No difference.
Also I put a fuel pressure gauge on the engine and watched it when it would start loosing rpm. The fuel pressure stayed constant at around 38 psi I believe it was.
I saw no difference in pressure at all when it would start.
Also I tried running W.O.T. while it was doing it.. I pulled the lanyard.
#1 plug looked to be wet while the other 5 were dry with a good dark brown burn pattern.
When i saw that I tried it 2 more times just to make sure.
I swapped the plugs around each time.
Every time #1 was damper than the rest.
Maybe a injector sticking open?
Any ideas?

If the injectors have not been cleaned and recalibrated, you need to get them to Brucato to have them reset.
Made a world of diff to mine.

Might be worth looking into if it hasn't been done in a while. Search here for sudden loss of wot rpm and see if the symptoms fit. Mine acted very similar to what you are describing at wot. Also, there is a detailed post about removing and cleaning in the "how to" sticky up top. I don't know if it will effect the idle though.

You NEED to at least clean the o2 and the siphon tube, that is the RPM loss issue. My Injectors will be going to Rich at the end of the season also. Been 4 years, they are due. CJ

CJ is right to clean siphon tube.
CJ, Rich did mine and made one needed calibration. I'm with you on getting injectors cleaned/flow restee every couple years. Cheap insurance than a new powered.
