Has anyone purchased a new mounting bracket for their Ultrex?
Mine wont stay locked down, and Minn Kota wants me to drive 2 hours each way to have a service center "look" at it.

That's the purpose of ASC's. For what ever reason it won't stay locked down, the ASC can repair it. Chances are (if it's a new install) the mount is on in a twist and not allowing the latch to work properly.
BTW, a new mount is in excess of $500.00

Holy hell. $500.00???? The problem is, there are no GOOD service centers anywhere near me..
Kernersville NC?, If so, there is one near Badin Lake. Might be the one you're referring to. It's a little over an hour for me but they do good work.
Will it lock down with the support stand off of it?
When I installed mine I didn't cut the rod short enough (by 1/8") and it would not lock down.
