    backing up issue

When backing down a ramp everything is fine but when i back up the incline in my driveway the brakes jamb. I end up putting a big C clamp on trailer to stop piston so i can backup. Anyone ever have this problem and what was the fix.

The reverse lights work. Just won't backup an incline.

Reverse lights on your trailer work?

Your back up trailer lights can be working but may not be getting power to the solenoid or it's a bad solenoid.
Normally you can hear an audible click when the solenoid is activated if you are close enough.

Got plenty of brake fluid in the actuator ?? You can always flip your plug around. My actuator went bad on me once. That's what I did.

Sounds good.. just not sure how it could help this particular situation.

All I know is that his problem sounds a lot like the problem I had. Come to find out it was a ground wire on the backing up deal.

Flipping the plug, some take the 5 pin flat connector, unplug it and turn the headlights on. Then plug it 90 degrees from normal with the Brown truck wire going to the blue or purple trailer wire.

Don't have a 5 pin connector. Have the round that only goes in one way.

Check power at bypass solenoid. If 12V is there check connections. You can ohm out the solenoid also, if open there is your culprit.

Solenoid or its ground is likely bad. Could also be a bad solenoid or broken blue wire where it splits to go to the backup lights. Try connecting a wire to the screw on the solenoid and connect to trailer bare metal
