Trailer lights work with one truck but not another.

My sister has a new Dodge Ram and her lights won't work with her boat trailer. They work with her old Ford.
She has a test connector that says all of the lights are working properly on the Dodge. She's
checked the ground on the truck and on the trailer. Any Ideas?

She lives 650 miles from me so I can't do anything to help.

    Thanks for any ideas.

It's got to be the truck. What exactly isn't working? If it's all the lights, then it's a ground. When testing she really has to know what she is seeing. Brake and turn come out of same wire but different circuit.

None of the lights are working on the trailer.
She just ran a jumper from the truck to the trailer and the left turn works, but when she tries the right it is very dim and at the same time the left blinks very bright.

Maybe check with the Dodge dealer?
The test connector just shows there is power under very little load - still could be
    a ground issue of sorts.
Had similar issue where trailer worked on Dodge truck, but not on older Tundra truck.
Ran a jumper ground from truck to trailer (like you said she did) and used teflon spray
in both connectors. Make sure the jumper ground is not attached to a painted surface.

Trailer lights can be a b$^#& - good luck!
