Sprayed my second planting of corn. First got flooded out, second crow hammered it when it was spiking, that was a first for me. Beans are getting weedy, they are liberty link and not round up ready, trying to find a small batch of liberty herbicide.

Looking like a good mast year, so maybe it's good my plots suck.

Early plots around here are prone to being hammered by army worms... Generally try to plant ~1st week in October.

I had those one year. Amazing how quickly they can eat an acre plot. Had to spray Tombstone to kill them.

Lime and Disc about 6-7 strips in the Pine Rows for planting next month.

I used to lime/fert/seed the same day but have learned since that for the best results you should lime about 1 month prior to seeding.

Good question. It’s just a time saver cause my property is an hour away.
From a perspective of what’s best, yes I should lime earlier and let it set in.

sprayed the beans with glyphosate last night. the weeds got so tall, the beans were sheltered. If I kill them off, oh well. Gonna replant with oats and turnips.
