Thanks for all the advice. I ended up cutting the old cable and brought it to a local boat mechanic. To make a long story short the cable and helm I had was not teleflex. And neither helm Or cable had any part numbers. I ended up having to get a new helm and cable. I got a 14 foot teleflex cable that was a take off from a new boat and a teleflex no feed back helm for 200 bucks total. Is that a good price?
I ended up drilling a hole in the hull just big enough to fit the new cable so I didnt have to remove the motor and eliminate the kink that would have been in the new cable. The motor turns so easily now
