It is Global menu settings. When turned on each setting affects all views with that same panel (example: 2D sonar) with that unit. The main Global will affect any other units that are linked together.

I have all mine turned off since I don't want other screens affected by what I do on one.
The ONIX has the same menu system.

You can download/read the unit manual from the Humminbird website. Print it too if you want.

I am using this transducer for all 2d sources. Full Chirp is unique to this transducer and the trolling motor version

I never had any issues when I was running this one either with 83khz or 200khz

Don't you need global on if your units are sharing the transducer? My cabin is on a Canadian shield granite lake... The units go squirrelly in anything less than 15'

No, I have all Globals turned off in every view/panel including the Setup General menu and I see both units as the source for Sonar, Down Imaging, and Side Imaging and can choose either one.

Can't you lock 1 unit in to the transducer you want that unit to see every time? Do you have both Global & Local settings or just Global and Off?

Each view has Global On/Off for the local unit.
Setup General has Global On/Off which is local or shared between unit’s.

SO I have tried everything listed on this thread by Troy, had help from Wayne, and none of my solix will work in shallow water!!! Countless hours and trips to the lake. I have removed the question of the network being the cause in that I have isolated each unit with a transducer and power cable and each individual unit sends back falsebottom readings all over the board and triple bottoms at times. That’s on 200 kHz and sensitivity cranked to nearly nothing. Tried 2 different transducers Also. I mean I guess it’s possible I could have 3 bad units and 2 bad transducers but highly unlikely. I’m not sure what else to do.

Tip your transducers so the REAR of the unit is higher than it currently is. I believe sonar energy is being aimed below the center of the hull, and then echoing off the hull and bottom.

At slow speeds, my stern is quite deep in the water.

Do you have the transducer set up to work at higher speeds?

Phoenix#1, what KHz settings are you using on DI and SI?

    http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=901342

The first and 3rd post solved my digital depth problems on my helix mega units. Until I switched DI from mega to 455, then it went to double depth again. Switched DI back to mega and all was good again. Just an observation from my experience lately.

I have tried both post 1 and 3 already. I run mega on side and down and 200 kHz on sonar
