usmc03 nailed it. My induction and hair cut was at Ft. Carson Colorado. My basic and AIT was at Ft. Riley Kansas. That was in 1960.

SSGT Baker (No clue whatever happed to him.)
SSGT Colasanti (Awarded the Silver Star and five PH's in RVN, he retired as a MGYSGT) I worked with him later at 3rd Recon at Onna Pt. Oki, and got to
see him at CLNC before he retired.)
SSGT Spencer (Did a CAX and ran into him at the CAX, he was a GYSGT)
SSGT Mutu (Retired as a SSGT after doing 20 yrs, I read in the Retired Marine publication that he had passed earlier this year.)
SGT Lundmark (I never saw him again, but he did retire as a SGTMAJ. Saw his name on a promo list.)

In-processing at Ft Jackson SC, boot camp at Ft Benning. 4 bus loads of recruits, and ours broke down on the trip. I can't imagine what smoke sessions the 3 bus loads got while they were waiting for us....
