Congratulations and hope he does well.

Started my military (USAF) experience (1965) after basic as a PJ trainee. My brother-in-law was a Navy Medic who was trained as a Combat Medic to serve in Vietnam with the Marines. I had just returned in 1967 when he got his orders to report to Vietnam.

Congrats to him on his decision, and kudos to y’all for supporting that decision. The army can provide a life that he wants it too.

He should be EMT qualified if he decides to get out. Good choice.

No matter what branch of service we all served in, we will never forget the following...

    1. Your arrival to boot camp or basic training. Get on yellow foot prints for you Marines.
    2. The first time you met your DI's, DS's, TI's or whatever you had. Very nice and friendly guys.
    3. The initial haircut....
    4. Rifle qual for those that had to.
    5. The "GAS" chamber.
    6. Graduation
    7. The names of your DI's, DS's, TI's or whatever you had.
