Got my Z-7 back from factory

Sorry I didn't post an update as soon as I got my boat back, but I wanted to get it on the water a couple of times first. All I can say about the boat is WOW!! For those that don't know, I had my hull replaced with a new one due to the old one having a hook. Before replacement, I was only able to get 5200 rpms and had no bow lift at all. Now I am getting 5900 rpms, awesome bow lift and got it up to 62 mph. I think I can get just a little more, but it started to chine walk at 60, so I didn't push it much past that. I have a 6" manual jackplate that is all the way down at the moment, and haven't measured my prop to pad. I will hopefully have time to do all of that in the next couple of days. Anyways, its like I have a brand new boat that performs like it should. It has never run and performed like this since the day I bought it brand new. To say I am pleased with the boat and customer service from BPS in Bossier City and the factory is a total understatement.

The same thing happened to mine and it felt like a new boat.

How does one know when a hull has a hook in it?

If you are turning 5900 out of a 150 I'm guessing. What is your water pressure? May need to drop the motor and start with a 1/8" to a 1/4" at first. I would think you need to be in the 5400-5600 rpm range. Just my opinion

Put a straight edge on the hull of your boat. There should be no gap...

They poured a new hull and attached the top cap. Like Fishysam said, they replaced my fuel tank. My jackplate is the same one I added. Not sure about the pumps. I do know that my bilge pump does not work now. I need to check to see if its a bad fuse, or somethings not hooked up. The switch that runs the bilge pump does not light up now. Its the only switch that doesn't work.
