    I have to agree with this. It is a totally different looking motor for Merc, but the lines/edges do match compared to others.

    Sharp Rig ! I didn't care for the new Merc design until I saw it hung on a bullet... I like it .
    Thinking about a V-8 repower ….still looking at all the info....not there yet....LOL

    And for all who don't know Paul Nichols he is the Bullet GOD! And a great guy to boot. He has helped me many times in person and on the phone over the last 18 years.
    I have had my 2002 20XRD (250XS currently) since new and have had several different motors over the years and Paul's set-ups and overall numbers have always been spot on. Now being the he is Bullet GOD in my book, he always runs 2mph faster the me but that is why he is the man ! Thank you Paul Nichols

    I have a 2003 20XDC and ran it for the first time this past weekend with my new 2020 Mercury 250R. Got it past break-in. My first impression was WOW!! When I bought the boat new in 2003 i had a 280 on it, then in 2012 I put a new Mercury 250 Sport. There is absolutely no comparison between the 250R and my old 2012 250 sport. The thing I have always missed that the 280 had was the mid range punch, not only does the 250R have as good (maybe better) mid range punch it has it at much a lower rpm and through-out the entire rpm range. The 280 only had it while in the power band.

    I'm having it flashed to 325 hp this week then I'll start working with props and set up. But first impression out of the box.......absolutely impressed
