    Marine starting battery size 24 ??

    My buddy has a 1998 Johnson engine. Would a new Duracell marine starting battery size 24 be enough to start the engine and run 2 lowrance 520(older) gps units ?? Duracell marine batteries on sale Sam's Club Aug.4. $20 off.

    I would not run anything less than a group 30 or 31 ( depends on the manufacturer) Remember his engine starts off it, his depth finders run off it, so do his lights and livewell. If you run a livewell for half a day with fish you still want enough juice to start and get home.
