Anyone have Backstop ideas for a .223?

Looking to make a backstop for target practice.

Will be shooting.223, 30-30, muzzle loader. Probably some pistols as well.

Probably be shooting 150 yards maximum with the rifles....50 feet with pistols....38 and 9mm
    Thanks for any ideas, Joe

If the range is on your property, just have a dump truck bring a couple loads of some dirt. If you want it nice, stack some 6x6 on the shooting side with dead man strapping in the dirt. . If you use the timber, I placed 3' logs vertical at the target area to save on the 6x6.

Dead man is a horizontal "T" buried in the dirt for anchoring things like retaining walls. Straps are generally used to prevent vertical movement.
