    Question Windshield cleaning

I made a huge mistake and cleaned a sticker off my Triton windshield with alcohol. Now I have an awful looking spot from the alcohol. Any advice on how to get rid of it?

Might try a headlight restore kit. Other wise maybe some 3m finesse it and an orbital depending on how deep it etchedit.

Is it from the alcohol itself or the residue from the adhesive? I wouldn't think regular rubbing alcohol would damage the windshield. I'd try some WD40 if you think it's from the adhesive. Then wash and wax it.

Its the alcohol. It left it really hazy looking. The residue from the sticker is gone.

Maybe all the rubbing left a bunch of swirl marks making it look hazy? Basically micro scratches. If so advice above about polishing should remove the swirl marks.

First, don't put stickers on your windshield. Second, if you do try taking them off with WD-40. Spray on and let sit a bit, then pull off.

I always use 3M adhesive remover in a spray can. works best for me. I am willing to bet that what you are seeing is still some of the adhesive being left over.

If it is swirl marks, toothpaste if a very mild abrasive and can be used to remove that haze if it's not too bad.

Why have a windshield if you can't see through it?
