Only problem is I can't make it, it's also a very long drive for me to make it, but Hooter's makes since, especially if they have a big dock, used to hang out at a Hooter's in Florida that had a big dock that went straight into the bay

I was hoping for the Oct dates but will try for the Nov 3rd. Hope that's not Duck Season on the river.

Locking through is no big deal kind of cool for the first timers. And Hooters does have a fairly big river dock as long as it's still in place by Nov.

Ya that would be cool what ubguys think about eagle creek as launch location? It’s 5.00 and seems like a safer place has nice docks and clean restrooms

The may pull there big dock by then. Seams like they take them out pretty early. We can make due though.

It’s 54 miles one way from eagle creek to hooters with lock time we eat at 1230. Would like to meet and check out the boats and launch then head down the river. U guys think meet in parking lot at 9am would be too early?

9:00 sounds good to me. I think that is considered to be Newport area. I didn't think it was 54 miles. That's a good trip.

It is definitely 54 miles from mouth of eagle creek to hooters If my math is right guys with 21x boat 250xs running 80mph getting 3.5 mpg in a 36 gallon tank should have a range of 126 miles. Just enough I might take my fishing stuff out and have no water and fuel tank plumb full. Just as a safety

Ok so here is the official date and time November 3rd meeting at eagle creek ramp (5.00 fee cash)be there at 9am talk and meet everyone (I would like to take some pictures of everyone)then we launch in the creek idle down to mouth and take off down to the lock and have everyone meet up again making sure everyone made it there and we all lock together after that we head down to hooters and dock up eat and talk and then just do the same process again. I think this will be a lot of fun and can’t wait to meet all u guys.

I'm in plus TB21 also will probably come along with his soon to be 4 stroke Allison. I look forward to meeting all you guys. I believe I'll empty the boat and put the big wheel on it. Anybody with a 20 x boat only have a 30 gal tank. I think there is a marina south of the locks that may have fuel but I'm not sure.
