    Sad news guys

We lost Melvin Smoot (bigfishingstud) last night. Just talked to his son Matthew (PII Magnum) will get more info and set up something for us all to do what we can.

    That you to everyone.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

This is so sad! We had our differences on here but I knew Melivin and still considered him a friend. The guy would literally give you his shirt off his back.

He will be missed by many. Prayers to Matthew and family.

Melvin was a big supporter of high school and youth fishing. He donated numerous times and always gave his time freely . My conversations with him were both helpful and enjoyable. RIP Melvin, you ran your race well.

Matthew, so sorry for your loss. Never was able to meet Melvin in person, but he's been an icon on here as long as I've been here. He'll be missed.
