Anything to get out of this heat. 100° and not a breath of wind is just stifling even under an umbrella or bridge.

Beyond ready. Already planning a trip to Chickamauga in November. Going for a week with a couple buddies.

I would appreciate any tips from the locals on that lake.

Can't wait. Our fish get spooky in the summer and you have to sit back and pitch a slip bobber rig at them to catch them. In the fall you can just sit right on top of the pile and wait for the THUMP. I like bobber watching but you can't beat the feeling of a big ol' thump and set the hook so hard you cross their eyes.

I would also bring a few rattle traps. Chic was spitting out GIANT largemouths from some of the tournament results I saw in early spring. Pretty sure I saw where it took a 40 pound sack to win a tournament there this spring.

    Nothing better than the thump!
