    Got a sportmaster

    Guys,
I finally got a hold of a sportmaster thanks to Lee.
I put it on a few last week. I haven’t had a sporty in 10 years on an 07 Bullet. My question is, are they normally more noisy when idling around? Hard to describe, more Geary sounding. A little more vibration. Not terrible. If I increase RPM by 50 seems to go away. Thanks in advance.

Most likely prop chatter from idling low.
    Kind of a growling sound?

The new style prop hub part #8m0101601 may help, the rubber acts as a cushion between the prop and shaft knocking down the vibration from the prop chatter.

Lee I think you are right on the money. Without the rubber cushions on the new hubs, at low idle I too remember well that metal sound.

Gulp. . .I looked that part up on Amazon. I'm ok with the clunky sound for now.
