    Did mine as well. No need to use Rivnuts. There is more than enough aluminum to screw into.

    I wish I had known about these when I was moving and installing cleats
    different from the factory locations.
    If you dont have one, a cleat at the console is handy as pockets on a shirt.
    I keep a short rope in place for tying up at a dock.

    I plan on replacing the 4 factory cleats as well as installing one at at the console, so Im on the same page you are.

    With the shift lever in neutral I placed the gunwale cleat 6.5" forward of the lever.
    I have about 2' of small dia rope that I leave attached all the time. LDS
