New middle seat/storage

Thought u guys would appreciate this. I have a 206 Champ and removed the essentially useless middle seat and replaced it with this...all for about $250.00

Guys I just took this out fishing and it is one of the best things I have done to this boat. You will note that I made a stand for it. These were made of channel spikes I purchased at Home Depot. I have a slot underneath for quick access tackle. The top compartment is for my keys, wallet, fish scale, and any other item I want quick access to. Very good investment.

Bassboatseats.com recently came out with a new one and it is priced right at $99. I'm planning on getting one to put on my ice chest lid between the seats.

Yes i have seen these. Not sure if you will be happy with the quality compared to the hand made one at Dean's I $150.00 more for a carpeted and custom fit is a good deal. Either way best wishes Milo.

I agree. I don't think the plastic will hold up in the long haul using it as a step up to the rear deck.

Well here we have it, middle step/storage from top to bottom... I took my middle seat out some 7 or so years ago..... As tomloans said, "virtually useless". Put the plastic console in two weeks ago. Better than nothing, holds my 210lb as a step, but only time will tell. It does a nice job of holding disguarded baits in one place If you are looking for extra storage, this isn't it, but works as day storage for small items.

Don't really use the step much as I mainly fish solo and just wanted something more than what I have covering the ice chest and can always use another cup holder in the boat. I was wondering about the size. Looks like it will work for what I need. Does the plastic get slippery when wet?

I just finished a week on Lake Champlain, I didn't notice it, and my partner never mentioned it. I think we had showers only one day out of 7. AND, as every Champion owner knows, you never get any chop or wind blown spray in the boat!
