    Ground wire is a solid choice. Most trailer issue can be traced to a bad trailer ground. Running a ground wire to each light eliminates that failure.

    No it wont ever hurt anything. All benefit really. My boat was factory wired that way and all of our trailers at work and my utility trailer are that way and i wont wire a trailer any other way. Yoy can never too much/good of a ground.
