80lb vs 112lb MinnKota Utrex (Opinions wanted!)

Looking to upgrade to a Minnkota Ultrex with spot lock. Currently have an 80lb fortrex on a 19.5’ Phoenix with a 225 Mercury and it gets the boat around just fine. I was wanting some opinions on whether or not it’s worth to go to the 112lb 36v system or stay with with the 80lb 24v system. Thanks in advance!

I have a Bullet 21xrs with 300 opti...I have the 80lb ultrex. I can go about 2-2.5mph or so in highest setting with full load and another angler. I go up to Erie on the regular and have no issues staying in place when its windy/wavy out. I have the 45" model.

It's $100.00 difference plus the price of a battery. If you have the battery room, I would say it's worth it.

Install batter selector switch. On setting 1&2 (both) it will parallel the cranking with one of the trolling batteries. Connect the three bank charger to the three trolling batteries.

Ive installed several, including one my Basscat. Ill see it i can draw it up. its just installing a battery selector switch, using the trolling motor battery that feeds ground to the trolling motor as battery 2. cranking battery is battery 1.
