For anyone that has installed a recessed TM foot pedal pan

Installed a Comfortroll on my ‘03 Skeeter 190 TZX today. Watched a ton of how-to videos but never saw one regarding a Skeeter so while I was a bit more concerned, I still did it. She came out looking very nice, but I noticed that I heard some “creaking” of fiberglass when I applied some body weight to the front portions of the deck adjacent to the pan. Is this a normal “setting” sound and has anyone else experienced this or is my deck most likely going to implode on my next trip? I did cut a segment out of the smallest main support closest to the bow during this project but the heavy duty pan fit snug into the missing gap and the deck didn’t appear to lose much, if any, structural integrity from what I could see.

    Thank you!

I sprayed expanding foam in the voids and under the tray itself. That way they are supported and it has never budged. But coat the bottom of the tray with silicon spray or some other release agent. Or it will never come back out.
