    Fortrex 112 not working, foot pedal hot

    My fortrex 112 quit working today, just shut off. Breaker not tripped, terminals clean and tight. While troubleshooting today, took foot pedal off and the aluminum plate on bottom was scalding hot, removed it and the heat was coming from control board, I assume this burnt up? Now that I think about it, I did notice on last fishing trip, a slight burning smell every so often. I think the control board is fried, but I'm not a trolling motor guru, lol. Any thoughts

    Very likely it is the board, if the board fried it could have water intrusion. Take it to an ASC to repair.
