I run 2 Echomap Plus 93sv units. The one on the bow was no longer picking up the GCV20 box. It didn't allow switching sonar source. I swapped the units from and the unit worked fine when on the helm cradle. The helm unit failed to pick up the black box when plugged into the bow cradle. I ran a new network cable to the bow. Still no sonar switching. When I plugged the new network cable into the helm cradle, switching worked fine. I then swapped the bow and helm cradles. The sonar switching failure followed the cradle and now the helm doesn't see the GCV20. I'm assuming it's safe to say the cradle went bad?
It's a little disappointing seeing it die within a month of buying it. On hold with Garmin support. I'm sure they will take care of it.
UPDATE: Garmin agrees probably bad cradle. Great support. US based. They are expediting a replacement cradle and should have it at my house by the middle of next week.
