    Shark Week on Discovery Channel

    Love to watch all the shark shows during the week. The DVR will get a workout.

    One of the coolest things we have ever done was take a trip out to the Farrallon Islands where a lot of those shows are shot. Amazing to be out there ion the water and see all the sights.

    Remember about 3 years ago, when they did that "mockumentary" episode during shark week? My dumb butt was glued to the tv, believing it was real.

    Had my own shark week yesterday fishing at Melbourne Beach, FL. I waded out about knee deep on a low tide flat to make a cast, turned around and walked back to the beach.

    When I looked back there was a 6-8 ft shark cruising with his back nearly out of the water right where I had been walking.

    Same thing every year. Australian guys chumming the water, a guy with a camera in the cage, a research team, a shark lure (seal) and a shark attack victim.

    The guys I was working with at the time were talking about that the next day, the megalodon, that they hooked right before the show went off, remember that stripped all the line offor whatever it was...big mark on the screen... The fools at work were so in to that show they they were convinced it was real...I had to show them proof on the web that it was a fictional show from the discovery channel.... There was also a show about finding mermaids that had them going for a while too... Damn idiots..
