    USA Z-19 or 618 PRO

I am going back in forth between two boats I found recently:

2017 Z-19 200 PRO XS about 70 hours, fortrex and lowrance HDS 9 and 7 DUAL AXLE

2017 618 pro 175 PRO XS about 30 hours MG X3I and older HUMMBIRD, and Dual axle

    Z-19 $37K

    618 $34K

    Opions?

Thanks ahead of time in input

Based on just what you listed, I’d take the 618.

If the Phoenix was a 19.6 foot boat I would say Phoenix, they are nice boats and built great. But I looked at a 618pro and it was too small up front for me. I'm 6'4" and it felt tight. I haven't fished out of a Nitro in years, but looking at them a Bass pro they seem like nice boats.

If those two I’d go with the Nitro. In my opinion you’re getting better electronics, trolling motor, larger boat, and bigger motor for only 3 grand more. The Z19 looks like a really nice and roomy boat though I’ve never ridden in either

I’m saykng the z-19 and I like Phoenix better. The z-19 is a bigger boat, bigger motor, better electronics. That’s what I’d choose

That's a tough one....love my Phoenix but there is a chance to have the bigger boat.....never fished out of a Nitro so can't offer anything about it but it's the bigger of the two.....

Out of the 2 I would go Phoenix. It’s going to be hard to compare them as it’s a smaller boat vs a larger one. Look at both, and if you can test drive both and decide.

Nitro for the reasons stated above. You're probably getting the Phoenix suggestion just because the other boat is a Nitro.

It’s already been said but if I had it narrowed down to those two boats, it would be hard for me to not buy the Nitro.

I’ve fished out of a 618 (ShawnD’s boat) and a Nitro Z7 (Z-18 is what replaced it) and have a Ranger Z119c. That extra foot is a major advantage on rougher water.

As stated above, the 618 is narrow in the bow. And it is noticeable as the bow starts getting skinnier at the consoles. The Nitro carries the entire width of the beam more forward giving you a larger front deck. That alone is an advantage.

Larger motor is a plus too on the Nitro but I would expect both boats to be relatively close in speed. ShawnD has a 150 HO and I think has hit 65. With the 175 Pro xs, I would expect it to be about 65-69. The 200 on the Z-19 I think should be about the same.

Electronics and TM... I’m not a fan of Motorguide so the Nitro would win there. I prefer Humminbird units but the HdS units are nice and probably worth a bunch more than the older Core units on the 618.

Really, for $3,000 more, you are getting your monies worth.

But. What size are the core units on the bird vs the size
of the HDS units on the Nitro?

1198 is a nice unit. If it was an 1199 or newer, it may have swayed my savings argument but you can pick those up for a pretty good price in the Electronics section.

As for the HDS units, as long as they aren’t 5’s, I think you are getting a better deal with the Nitro.

Actually have nothing against Nitro. The decision is going to be what fits the OP best. What fits me best is not going to be something that may fit him. Try them both out and pick from there. Electronics can and will be upgraded to something else eventually anyway so pick the one that suites you best.
