    rod recommendation. $100 or less

looking for a multi purpose rod that would serve as an A-rig rod in winter and a big jig, big wobble head, med. swimbait etc., type rod remainder of the year. what are some recommendations for a rod less than $100?

Dobyns Fury rods are well built at the $110 price point. Wait for one of the 15% off sales at TW and pick one up.

Was referring to the PQ 2 rod in general, the OP can choose which model suits his needs. The specs on the one you listed above would do the trick though

St Croix Mojo if you look hard, Daiwa Tatula XT, Omen Black 2, Falcon Christie or SR Series and Dobyns Fury are all hard to beat for the money. I have a few of each. I find myself using the Mojos and Tatulas the most.

I'm not sure on the price it might be $130 or so but I like the Falcon Bucoo A Rig rod. I use it for jigs, flippin, carolina rig, big worm.

I love st croix but have a couple mojos and dont love the feel. currently using an older veritas 7'6" MH. for the rig. think a heavier action may perform better.

I'm in the process of testing out a new line of rods from Piscifun and must say for the sub $100 price point they are better than some of the $150 to $200 rods that I use now and am extremely surprised to say the least. These rods will become available in the next month or so.

You need the flex, strength, and top quality guides for the baits and purpose described. 7ft 6in medium heavy frog type rod would be my choice. Take your pick on brand, but look for fuji sic guides.

I agree with this. Plus you can sometimes go on the Dobyn's website and pick up traded in rods for even cheaper.
Another perk is DObyn's customer service and rod swap program. My experience with them has been great!!!

Not much for under $100 retail. Either wait for a sale or buy something above that price point second hand
