I avoid it at all cost, but there are some good restaurants there and Somerville.

Yup.. lots of weird Sh*t in the world. It's the proverbial hot sauce of life. A handful of people's actions do not constitute a world view. Much like people using snakes in their religious ceremonies.

I wonder what these kids think about alcohol. Maybe it’s ok for them to drink. Maybe drugs are ok too....I mean the kids know best right? Why should the parents be responsible for their children when apparently they know everything at birth. I’m definitely not one for more laws and government, but some people should not be allowed to procreate.

....and they let them climb on some unstable looking toy right next to a window (see third or 4th pic). Brilliant parenting all the way around, feel sad for the kids.

That was exactly my thought. Great reference. Those parents will likely do nothing more than make their children’s life even more difficult and confusing than it will already be. But, what do I know. I’m just simple ol Southern boy who raised two sons to be men. And who’s son is raising his daughters to be girls. Maybe we’re doing it all wrong. Guess we’ll find out one day.
I quit worrying about all the other idiots in the world long ago. Family and friends, and their well-being going forward.

We are there already. Washington State offers three choices for sex on a birth certificate; M, F, and X. Seriously.

When my wife and I came to visit MN in 2013, we spent a few days at her friends house in the cities. She has 3 girls by 3 different men, at the time they were 11, 8, 2. When we left I told my wife "She wants one of her daughters to be gay so bad she can't stand it." At the time being trans wasn't as well known at least by us. Fast forward to about 2 years ago, they are visiting her oldest daughters aunt, when the uncle pipes up and asks this 14 yo girl "So are you lesbian or what?" instead of defending her daughter against such a disgusting question her mom says "You answer your uncle when he speaks to you." A few days later the daughter says "Mom I'm trans." Oh the celebration they had was unbelievable. She just loves talking about her "son".

She posted today about the cruelty of parents and blamed them for a "trans" kid taking their own life. She got upset when I pointed out the obvious mental issues.

BUT the government still only accepts Male or Female.

My company delivers meals (think meals on wheels) to seniors and low income people. Those that get their meals paid by Medicaid or Medicare sometimes ask to have their gender listed as Other or Unknown, but the only way they will pay for the meals is if gender is listed as Male or Female. Ticks them off, but they won't give up the free meals, so they give their gender.

All government agencies (other than the odd ones like Washington) require M or F.

Washington's rule only affects existing birth certificates, not new ones. Want your kid's certificate changed? Pay us after the fact and we will change it. Nothing but a money grab...:

Starting January 27, they will be able to identify as male, female or X on birth certificates. The policy lets Washingtonians change existing documents; it does not apply to new ones.
