    Seat pedestal size 2000 XB2003

I purchased a Hydraulic seat pedestal from BPS but it is sort of loose in the hole. It can be moved side to side with a bit of play. Not snug at all.

    Any ideas?

Its a screw-in pedestal. No threads ever connect and there is slack in it.

I had to drill out both my bases to accept the different brands of pedestals that I own. Perhaps your bases have been enlarged from use or manufacturing tolerances for the pins and/or bases are loose. Good luck shrinking the base hole or growing the pin.

You can get new bushings from Allison where the pedestal goes in the base.

How hard was it to remove the old bushings?

    Not hard at all.
The easiest way is to take a die grinder bit and grind a slot down all the way through the bushing and then pry it out.
The new ones just drive in with a dead blow hammer.
