    Illinois watercraft registration not recieved

It's been 60 days, so my application should be void as a temporary replacement for numbers on the boat. The DNR phone number (217-557-0180) appears to be useless - they say all lines are busy even when the offices are closed.

Can anyone speak to how long it took to get your registration numbers?

Any idea how I should follow-up?

Bought a new boat last Nov and it only took a few weeks for it to process. I’m guessing in the warmer months things get busy. Just make sure you keep that temp registration. If you see a DNR officer ask him to run your boat to see if it’s in the system.

Bought a new boat in March of this year, just received the sticker and numbers this week. Conservation checked me at the ramp, said I was good to go after seeing the form that I filed for them.

Average has been about 6 months, over 5 boats in the last 9 years. Kind of a joke really.

I haven't registered a new boat in quite a few years but my last couple of renewal stickers came in a week or less.

picked up my new boat the first week in May, sticker came about the second week in June. Dealership also said it would be 6 months, so was somewhat surprised to see it.

Got through to them yesterday. They hadn't processed my app yet and said to call back next week. She said they are short staffed and behind.

New boat registration has always took 6-9 months. It seems renewals go out much quicker.

Hey basscatcher89, I grew up in Earlville and my Dad lives in Ottawa now for the last couple decades. Where do you fish for bass around there?
