    Prop help...21xdc/2018 300xs 1.75 SM

Was wondering if anyone is running a 300xs 1.75 SM on their 21xd...I am looking for an explosive holeshot and mid range. 0-85 is much more important than 85-93. I would prefer not to just pitch down to achieve this as I'd like the opportunity to run high 80's low 90's if the situation presents itself...

As of now, I don't even have a prop to break in the motor with I've spoken to a couple guys (thanks as always Sushii) but wanted to ask if anyone is running 1.75s on their 300xs and what their experience has been.

This 300xs is the last 300xs to be sold and taken off the production line at Merc with the standard bass trim...hopefully in about 10 years it will be as sought after as the 300x I am selling.

My initial thoughts on props but again, I do not have any idea...

30p Bravo1 XS (or Bravo1 with dual PVS)
30p Pro ET (tough prop to find for sale)
    29p ProMax with PVS
29p Hydromotive Quad IV X OB Dual PVS (another tough prop to find)

    and possibly a cheaper option
    29p TXP OT4

No you bought the wrong motor!! Shoulda went with the 400ROS
I'm kidding never messed with that setup. I'm going to guess the 30 bravo will be the prop to have. Do you have it installed yet?

That’s what I was thinking as well. The 300xs got my dealer yesterday and they’re in the process of swapping out motors for myself and my buddy who bought my x. Any idea if 4 1” holes would be enough venting? I’m thinking it might since it has the 1.75.

I would say it would be ok but adding 4 more pvs holes would be a huge help.

I have 1.62's i run a 27/28 bravo a lot to fish and its on the limiter pretty quick but I like the acceleration of them. You will need a pitch or two higher to perform the same.

Kyle with the 1.75 and single 1” holes do you think it will accelerate hard?

My 28 bravo had the single 1" holes and with the 1.62 the hole shot wasn't good at all. I had it worked by billy eaves and had 4 pvs holes added but with his work it didn't need the added pvs holes. It runs out loaded in the hot summer at 89 on the limiter. I'm not sure the exact numbers behind 1.62 vs 1.75 but I would think it would hole shot better and be just a little slower with the same prop.

My stock 27 with 8 pvs holes is the best hole shot prop I've run so far it leaves hard and pulls hard. i have a friend with a rdc and 300xs and he bought a new 27 bravo and he also loves how it runs. Down side is I've gone threw 2 of them in a years time but I run long distance and run it high.

I think i'm going to take a chance and buy that 30p Bravo1 with the 1" holes...also would love to find a 29 to test it but we'll see.

Edit changed my mind and am holding off since Jeff at Seven Lakes who is doing my motor install has a couple props to test including a 28 Bravo 1 xs and a 30 promax.

If anyone has any other thoughts let me know

I have a 300xs with a sports master and 1.75 gears. Have the 30 pro ET, 30 Bravo 1 and my Hydro is a 30 pitch.
All of these run the numbers of a 28 pitch with a hole shot of a 28. Have to find a prop you like, test it and then
send it to a prop guy to tune it for your boat. My son and I have the 21xrd, 300xs and his motor has 1.62 gears and
mine during summer month has 1.75. His boat/motor does not like my props and my boat does not like his props. It's
just the way the boats are set up. Be able to tell the prop guy just what the boat is doing or not doing, your set up to include
fishing load. My normal prop is a 26 TXP that has been worked several times by a prop guy. Runs high, real high 80 and
real low 90s with the DBR kit.

Rex1's boat is no joke out of the hole. We both run a 26txp ot 4 as our primary fishing wheels. With his 1.75 gears to my 1.62 gears, he will put boat lengths on me out of the hole and mine is no slouch.

Ironically, my buddy and I swapped props along with the motors...I have a 26 TXP OT4 waiting for me at the dealer. I thought for sure that it would be way too small but do know they run awfully stiff which is why I was running a 24 OT4 on my 300x. The dealer has a 28 Bravo1 XS and a 30p ProMax so at least I have some options once the motor gets an hour on it...I am shocked about the 26 OT4 though...I am now glad I made the trade for it even though stock, it may not work too well. Thanks for the info guys...Rex, do you know what has been done on the 26? Other than a 36v trolling motor, 4 batteries, and a single 8' power pole, I run fairly light...appreciate the input!

Props that don't seem to be getting any love in the last few years and i got ZERO idea why. The Performer ET 4 or BC 4.

My 30 Performer ET Will out holeshot a promax or a ProET AND it will out topend them also. As a added benefit is there less chance of slinging a blade with a performer then a proET or a Promax.

This is just my just my personal opinion on what you should be running

A Pure holeshot prop would be a 28 Bravo 1 with dual PVS
Awesome holeshot and acceleration is like no other prop i tried 28 proET

All around prop would be either a 30 Performer BC 4 or a 30 Performer ET 4.

    Here's a vid of a 21XDC running my 30 PErformer ET

The rake angles have been changed a little to help the overall lift of the boat on the txp's we run.

As far as the performer props go, I absolutely love them and are the fastest props I own, however where I fish I would never run them due to all the stumps you have to idle through to get to my fishing spots. I have way too much time and money in them to bounce them off stumps. I bought my 26 txp used for 250 and had it worked for 150 for a total of 400 bucks. I have about triple that in my performers. I would much rather tear up my txp!
