    Help Me Choose

2016 Nitro Z21. 250 Pro XS. Currently has a 25 Tempest. Summer numbers are always worse but in cool water in the winter and spring, 5500 RPM and 67 mph is tops. Hydraulic jackplate so I can adjust the prop height easily. I am thinking a 24 Fury 3 blade is what I need. I typically run with an average tournament load to maybe a bit heavier than a tournament load. Two guys (I am 6'3" and 290), half a tank of gas (still 20-25 gallons), water in the livewells plus tackle and rods for two guys. Have a good hole shot now. Have decent but not great lift. No porpoising issues like some have had.

The motor needs to turn 5850-5950 LOADED RPM's to get max HP and Speed.

You need to keep dropping prop pitch, until you achieve that LOADED WOT RPM range. Try to test a 23P Tempest Plus for LOADED Summer time use.

I agree with Savage, for that boat and load. Keep in mind all props usually need some work. It seems that props that are pitched or cupped up end up performing better than ones that are worked down. As much as I like Fury Props, I think the tempest would work better for your boat. A 24 Fury would pull about the same RPM as you are now getting which is to low
    Thank You Leon Pugh

I keep seeing people running Bravo props. Anyone have suggestions on which Bravo might fit my setup?

24P Bravo1 might get you closer to the correct RPM's.
