Wondering what everyone is using with these new motors for trailering support, and how you like them? Sounds like motormate doesn't have anything available for any of the 4strokes.

I'm hearing of folks using modified "over trim ram sleeves" (2). These rest against the striker plates (on a CMS model).

This is what we've been selling & they work fairly well
sn 2b529959 On my V8 the motor stix do not hit the trim pads but a somewhat flat area just below the trim pads. As the mid lifts off the trim rods into the tilt range the pads no longer align with the trim rods.

Thinking someone needs to redesign something similar, but shorter. or a pair that are locked together, with an offset bend so they match up to the striker area.
Surely one of the support manufacturers would like to jump on an idea like that.... hint hint.

Came on my V8 from dealer and looks to be the best set up I’ve seen so far
It’s the ProXS
What is it made of and where does the support rest on the swivel bracket.

I would like to see pic of it supporting the motor..any chance we can see a few pics?
It’s metal with what appears to be some type of poly inserts into the pipe. No metal touches the trim rams. I wish I had pics but my boat is at the dealer getting some upgrades done. I am supposed to get it back next week. I looked through the pics I have but you can’t see it because of the Power Poles.
Ok, I was able to get some screen shots from some pics my daughter took. They aren’t the best but you can see it. I just have to figure out how to post them. I’m new at this but I’ll try
Motormate is working on a new model for the v8’s
I hope so. I would rather not have anything touching my trim cylinders but until they do the Prorule is what I’ll use
FYI - Tuffskinz already has the hood available for them.
I called Motormate to see about an estimated time and the response was less than friendly. Was just you will know when it’s on the web site. Guess they don’t want my business.
I would think they get a large number of calls on that topic per day. I can understand their response to be honest. Boat people are not always the most patient Myself included :)
