The Great White has a bolt in side the cover. If it is loose then more than like the battle was lost with the pier. It has broken the part of the head that holds the head onto the shaft. The bottom part of the head will have to be replaced.
where can I get the bottom part and would you have a number available for order?

Not sure how old your GW is, but at any rate if it has the older style head with the flat cover then the whole head will have to be replaced, because the bottom is obsolete.
New Part numbers are M899342T1(Bottom) and M899383T1(Top).
my motor was a 2011 is that the old or newer style?

Call motor guide with your serial number. They will give you the exact part number needed.
I just replaced my 2006 GW plastic head. It finally crumbled under years of abuse.
Looks brand new now. Think I paid $28.
Recommend replacing the
Top of the head
Bottom of the head
Bolt
curved washer
sleeve (rectangular washer with square cut out curved to slide around shaft)
And a new sticker for good taste.
Tighten the screw first, but odds are it won't fix it. Use a Philips#2.
tried that but didn't hold found one on ebay for $12.00 will give it a shot , can't be that hard to swap it out?? any tips

Got the bottom part of the head in yesterday and went out this morn and after taking pics just to be sure and removed the old one and got the new one on, in about an hour and a half sweating in this 85% humidity now the sun is there and going to wait till the shade comes back later today and button it up tried it out everything works as it should . Will be good to go. I used wire nuts for the bigger wires will those hold in the bouncing of the waves and so on or should I try to find some of those like they had on there and crimp them together?? Here is a pic of what they used? Attachment 334275

Wrap tape around the wire nuts to make sure they don't work loose.
