I just finished about 6 good family meals with my buddy's Buffalo > meat. I am looking to Buy Buffalo meat(different tasting meat) and other quality meats at reasonable prices from farms, ranches or good quality packing houses. Anyone have a website or phone number with a short description(luv me some Buffalo/elk) of what you recommend from this company? Any specialy meat companies you care to share with BBC.

There was a buffalo farm couple miles from my BIL's home in Alden, Illinois that we have bought from but I think it's no longer in business.

Not trying to be "that guy" as I'm speaking from a place of personal experience: though it seems minor, make sure to call it "bison." I was informed not so politely by a farmer that there are no buffalo living in the United States that weren't imported from Africa. Calling it bison to someone who raises them goes a long way.

When I lived nearby, we bought buffalo meat at a place called Buffalo and More in Riner, VA. They have a restaurant if you're in the area, but also sell retail meats over the counter from their farm.

My next door neighbor raises and sells them. Me and my father in law buy one from him every year and have it cut up. We also raise and sell cattle our self but still buy one of the Buffalo to eat. It is real good but I also like beef.
Them are some mean animals when they get grown. Very territorial.

Local folks^^^. Lots of friends make the drive to their store for meat, rather than buying from the super market.
