    C125 Quick Question

    Can I use CP200 Sidevision with a C125 unit that doesnt have built in sonar?

    Would it just network, and I could add a 2d transducer as well?

    Thanks

    Yes, the box just plugs into the unit.

    For 2D you would need a CP100 box to plug the 2D transducer into - then network it to the other Raynet port.

    Odd that Raymarine would require another box just to run DV or 2D when i already own a CP box.

    So next question would be... will i get adequate depth readings if i just run the CP200 with Sidevision?

    Each box is its own processor and transducer. That series was a mix and match sort of thing

    125 = mapping only and needs modules and transducers
    127 = Internal 600W sonar
    128 = Internal CHIRP Sonar

    Modules
    CP100 = Soar/DownVision
    CP200 = SideVision

    when Raymarine came out with DV, they added to the line up by just adding the CP100, so you didn’t have to buy new units to have it.
    Then they came out with SV and again just had to add a box.When the next line up came out, they included DV with the 8 series.
    Then with Axiom you have it all with no boxes and one transducer.
