1985 340V steering wheel cable length?

I am wanting to know if anyone knows the approximate length of a steering wheel cable for a 1985 Ranger 340V?
i found one near me that is 12ft in length. It includes all that is needed to hook it up. Thank you
It is a 17 foot boat.

The cables in my 360 were 12 so if anything those may be a tad long.

measure from console at steering wheel and then down the gunnel and then across the back where it attaches to the motor add 6" and that should be your length. I would guess 10 would be for your boat but not 100% sure bro

If you have steering cables on there now it should be printed on the cables. Mine had the length printed in inches.

i measured earlier and it came to about '11,4"

Teleflex web site tells you how to measure them properly,,, I had a 340 V and 150 hp motor, you may want to consider dual steering cables. I had single until it broke at 55 mph at lake murray sc. Not a fun day. I converted to dual cable then hydraulic after I upgraded to more hp.
