    units shutting down

when I fire up the main engine both my helix7 units shut down (I have a dedicated power supply to the units). would this be because the cranking battery is dropping too many volts on start up? checking with a multimeter the battery is holding just over 12v at rest. I hate to by a new battery and not fix the issue.

What’s just over 12 volts? Full charge is 12.7 . If it’s at 12.1 fully charged then the battery is getting weak. Fully charge the battery and let it set for a couple of days and check voltage if it’s less than 12.5 it’s getting weak.

The voltage at the unit is what matters .... look at the system status screen or set on of the readouts to display voltage.

True that! It’s the other part of the equation.

I had problems with that when my battery was failing. New battery solved the issue.
