I haven't fished it this year yet but you can find some youtube videos and lots of tournament results online..Pilgrim's village is a good source of info also and they have a decent tackle selection along with live bait..
You'll find Largemouth and Smallmouth in both lakes but last time I fished up there it seemed Largemouth were taking over.
There is a good mix of cover and structure...You can pretty much fish your favorite patterns and techniques and put something together...

Dont be afraid to look "offshore" for isolated weedbeds on Mitchell, good largemouth out there last time i fished it.
