Petit Jean State Park ? bass fishing

i will be staying a few days next week at petit jean with the family . not takeing my boat . is the bass fishing from the bank in the state park worth packing a rod and tackle in a already crampacked tahoe .thanks for any replies from anyone whos fished there

I've looked at it multiple times while up there but have never fished it...looks like it should hold a few fish.
