    Set back...

    On a 1998 20XDC with a 225 Pro Max what is the recommended set back as far as a jackplate???... Dan

    You will find 12 inch very common. 2 degree wedges for a little more negative trim might be useful.

    I believe Paul Nichols said in a post a while back that their was no advantage over 14 inches on a 21. Not sure what he said on the 20. It is always a compromise in that as you go back you get better water but it is harder to lift the boat. Bullet recommends and installs 12 inch on the 20. I will see if I can find his posts on the subject. Maybe he will post something here.
