    New zx250 top speed?

First off absolutely love the new boat switched from Ranger to Skeeter no regrets at all. I have right now around 14 hours on the boat . Top speed is around 70.3 but when I was in Break in mode after the 6/7 hr I did hit 72.8 for less than a min. now I can not get that. I checked the prop but can’t find the pitch # it’s all stock, sho 250 Yamaha prop the hole shot is amazing but takes a pretty good while to get to 70? I’m ok with the speed but I really thought the boat would be a lot faster . Any one running the same boat let me no what speeds your seeing and what prop your running?

72.8 is right on average. It was probably cooler or drier that day. This humidity kills performance.

That's around what I get on my 2015. I almost got 76, but I was running on fumes and it was just me. They are good boats, I am going to get the second power pole though.

Fastest that I’ve gotten my ‘15 zx250 is 74mph. I’ve never really tried to get it that fast again.

I don't have experiences with a lot of boat brands but to me skeeters are VERY sensitive to extra weight especially in the back.

2015 ZX250 Early on before I packed her to the gill I had seen 76.1 but I don't have any poles on mine and she was new and void of allot of gear I carry now. I think 74 is max this summer with me and livewells empty. I'm about 330 hrs in, Hammer has been flawless. Love my ZX!

Identical boat as Kerry, with twin power poles..25 T-2.. Best I've seen this summer by myself is 72... That's maxed out RPM.. Gonna have to adjust for winter.. With the T-1 before it was about 2 mph faster.. Need to get this prop and my spare Solas 24 worked for best performance... The solas ran best with 7 dots showing and the T-1 with 5... The T-2 right now with 5...I figure this winter I'll have to drop it back down to 7...

'17 ZX250 with 2 Power Poles... Winter time with light load the fastest I've seen was 74.8. Normal load with co-angler and livewell full I get anywhere from 69 to 72.

Is the solas factory or has it been worked on I have been seriously considering getting one for my zx225 I currently run a 25 T1 bent one blade not bad had it repaired and some cup added to tips was running 74.2 at 7 dots showing went out today with a buddy 3/4 gas not the best of conditions got it to 65 92 degree air temps but I think I need to raise the plate up some. Long story short I need a spare prop that I can run when I bend another blade or break it that runs good and handles rough water today we were running in 2 1/2 to 3 footers

soryy if I hijacked the thread no intention by any means.

Solas is stock...gonna run a pitch or two stiff...if you do go Solas...you'll need a solid hub in it..I've got a solid hub for a sterndrive mercruiser inboard in mine...the Quicksilver plastic and the Solas hubs will not hold up to the torque...they'll last a couple of days and that's it....I ended up running a 24 Solas...it runs about if I remember right 5600 maybe 5700 and about 68 mph on the 7 dot showing...best it would do ..ok for a back up...sure it would do better if worked...
