The GT 52hw-tm is not available anywhere that I look. Anyone have one for sale or know of somewhere to purchase this ducer. Looking for a true Down Image. Its for a Striker 9sv. Any other suggestions besides the CV stocker. thanks

bbg marine has some.
We did have some but all Garmin GT52HW-TM transducers have been sold. Some of my distributors have even removed them from an order form. Sorry Folks... Brian
Thanks for reply
I just bought one from a guy on here about a month ago....got it pretty dang cheap....have not put it on, still using the CV ducer....
YOU are not entitled to what I have earned!!!!!

I have been using the CV52 and it works great!!
Is this the one they had to quit making due to the lawsuit? I have one, image is super crisp with it.
Yes the GT 52 is the better of the two and has a true down image ducer . For MOST shallow water fresh guys the CV52 is probably sufficient. I rarely go super deep BUT at times in the fall when lakes turn over I like the thought of having a "true down image" for searching deeper fresh water > say 50-60 ft.
Sold out for now folks on the GT52-HW

You can buy manufactured refurbished units on eBay for $399.
That comes with the striker7sv. Not sure what the gt52-hw sells for as a ducer unit only.
The striker units come as new with everything for transom and TM installation. Just an option. You could always sell the head unit
I was able to locate one and ordered. I will believe it when I actually receive it. Its been a interesting journey
I have one if anyone is needing one. Came with my 1242
Message me a price...

What is the difference between a GT52 and a CV52?
The gt52 has a dedicated down scan module where the cv52 is getting down scan from the overlay of the side imaging modules and stitched together with software.
The gt52 has a sharper image both down and to the side.
The CV just looks muddy to me....it's definitely usable but just not as crisp.
If you go back and search there is a very long series comparing these. Vic made a credible argument that the SideVu on the CV52 was better than on the GT52. The short of his argument was that when three elements are pinging at the same time that the returns being displayed did not come from the element that transmitted them making for a poorer image. It's interesting reading.
