Entering Waypoints

Was trying to enter new waypoints of brushpiles on my 7616xsv yesterday. Went to new waypoint, when keying in North latitude it would let me key the first 4 numbers but when keying in the 5th number after the . it wouldn't allow me to key the number, the screen would beep and the arrow would go to the next number. This may be hard to understand but has anyone run into this?

Your unit takes a different format. I downloaded the Coordinates app that converts to a format that works. Hope that helps.

I downloaded an app on my iPhone called Coordinates. I think there are several out there. They show the different formats and you enter your waypoint coordinates into the format that fits and it will show the conversion in the others. You select the one that your Garmin uses. I think Google Earth and Navionics uses different formats so I was always having to convert them. Hope it works.
