Well that’s it...no other complaints about BC! I know it isn’t a big deal but the center box was my only complaint about my Cat. A square carpeted box just looked out of place on these works of art. Now the question is will it fit my 2012 PIV and if not it’ll be on my next Cat! Either way thanks Basscat!

What color is your carpet? I may be interested in the box if you replace it. I have a middle seat and don't use it at all, would like the cup holders and storage.

I wouldn't mind having one if it's not crazy expensive. I've see a lot of posts in the past about buying factory fiberglass coin boxes, and after sticker shock they end up buying basscat's step box. The Ranger ones are around $800 with freight.

What ballpark price could we expect?

The $500 plus ($600) is a pretty good retail estimate and a step box for previous models will require a new part tooled with new molds for replacement only. Color coordination is another challenge as that will be expensive to load up a gel gun to match your boat color. The waste gel alone will cost about $50 a part for one off colors, when factored in. If we could keep the general color on flake and get close that cost would fall.

They don’t have a plan for replacement boxes (retro) till just ahead of January.

Also on the handle we don’t believe you can get anything hung up on the existing design.

I think the demand is going to be high. If ya will let us preorder, you may get a better idea on number and colors. I for one would put my money up to get a place in line. Any idea on how many you will mold at a time in a color?

Your dealership is the one who can arrange that.

Is the sanded grip part lower than the surrounding fiberglass? Looks like shoes will scratch the fiberglass? Looks much better than the carpet box.

Just and idea, but it wouldn't bother me if they just made retro fit in colors that matched the different carpets. Same as what I have now with the box, but more durable and better looking. It would limit the amount of colors and metal flake.
