If a farmer leases a new tractor for one year, and it's then turned in, it's considered used. That used tractor can then be sent overseas and sold as a used tractor and avoid paying tariffs. That's why so many farmers have new tractors every year, companies like John Deere use the short-term lease program to make money on overseas deals by avoiding tariffs on used equipment.
I do work for 2 farmers with machines like that. One is a Case Stieger that is just like the deere and the other is a deere with one continuous track on either side and does not articulate like the pictured one [or the case] does. Both are impressive machines and VERY comfortable to run. Cup holders? ya how about GPS guided speed and steering and all the comforts of home! CJ
