Looks more like an A40 prop.

It’s an A 45, 25 pitch. I will try to upload a pic with vent plug installed.

A40 had pressed hub, first gen A45 accepts flo-torq style but had same oval vent holes. Then the A45 Plus went to traditional round PVS plugs.

I didn't know these plugs were available when I ran my A45 on my stratos, so I jb welded the holes shut and drilled to size. Since then I have removed the jb weld and it runs great with the stock openings on my Bass Cat.

I cannot upload the pic with vent plug installed. The plug looks like a bump on a prop, not flush and is barely stuck in the hole. Not like the plus prop vent plugs which are flush and a bugger to install or remove. Does anyone have pic with these plugs installed?
    thanks

May not seem right to you but that's the plug that fits that hole in that prop. It's the first generation PVS plug.

Can’t seem to find the ones that completely plug the A45 other than JBweld

That is what I did. Was able to drill out to fine tune and am some what pleased with performance. Hole shot is good but I am topping out at 69 with 5980 rpm. May have to have it worked on. By the way it is in pristine condition and never been worked.
    Thanks

I had my 27 polished and turned out it had been touched before. It measures a stout 28”

Funny this post popped up. I repowed today and now my A45 needs plugs. I really don’t wanna JB weld. IMO it would never be true or balanced. I’m interested in these plugs. Until this post I’ve never saw such for a A45

The plugs in post #1 are correct. I have purchased these plugs from BBlades before...…

Click on this >>> Vent Plug – Tempest

They come in ONE SIZE only. Warm them up with a hair dryer before installing.

Vent plugs are in the barrel of the prop, therefore they do NOT effect the balance of the prop.
